Calogero's, nestled in Naperville, IL, is a gem for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. Reviewers rave about the authenticity of their dishes, likening the pizza to what you'd find in Sicily. LaTicia Nichols praises the arancini but suggests a touch more cheese and seasoning to enhance the flavor. Drew Heath encapsulates the high spirits of the diners, exclaiming it as "the best pizza we've ever had" and hopes for its longevity.
The standouts are the wood-fired pizzas, with Puja Jadav reminiscing about her adventures in Naples, finding the margarita and Funghi pizzas absolutely delightful. Their crusts are described as soft, fresh sourdough, complementing the vibrant tomato sauce and melty cheese perfectly. Moreover, D D's experience with the pizza bianco adorned with artichokes showcases the quality of the fresh ingredients and highlights Salvatore, the owner, who takes immense pride in his cooking. There’s something special about the cozy atmosphere and attentive staff that makes every visit feel like home.
For those searching for genuine Italian flavors, Calogero's is not just a meal, but a culinary journey back to Italy, making it a must-visit.

Great pizza...reminds me of real Sicilian pizza! The arancini is also tasty...the only suggestion is it needs more cheese & seasoning inside & peas.

Pretty much the best pizza we've ever had. I hope this place stays in business 100 years. Love you, Calogero's!

Love a good wood fired pizza and nothing beats a great Italian pizza! We came here hoping to reminisce of our time in Naples and it did not disappoint. The margarita pizza and Funghi pizzas were great- soft fresh sourdough crust, yummy tomato sauce, melty cheese. The pizzas were filling but light. It was a small but cozy indoor space but the staff was attentive and checked on us from time to time. We enjoyed and will be back :)

Nice place, only has 3 tables inside, so it's likely better to pick up and eat at home. I got the pepperoni pizza, garlic knots and bruschetta. The food all tasted great, and the pizza was especially good for leftovers the next day.

I was finally introduced to this place by my cousin and our friends. The pizza was cooked to perfection. I had the pizza bianco with artichokes. They even offer gluten free crust. The ingredients you can tell are fresh. I felt like inwas back.in Italy. The pasta was amazing and light. You definitely feel at home. If you want fresh authentic Italian Food..come too Calogeros . The owner Salvatore is a gem and takes pride in his cooking. You are missing out if you haven't already been!! Forza Italia

Absolutely amazing. The sourdough home recipe crust is amazing. The pepperoni pizza with sausage added is fantastic. So Much Flavor. Family owned and deserves your business. They also offer carry out and a bunch of other stuff!

This is a rewrite of a review I posted last night. I had broken my own rules of sticking to objective facts as I as experienced them, and the owner, rightfully so, called me out on it. So let's do this properly. I had ordered a pepperoni pizza for delivery with extra pepperoni. The pizza did arrive at what most people would consider a comfortable temperature. However, (and here's my issue): having ordered extra pepperoni, I would've expected more than a total of three-four slices of quarter-size pepperoni, per-slice. Perhaps my expectations were a bit high? At another establishment I visited in Fort Worth, a relative ordered extra pepperoni for our pizza at a comparable price for that extra pepperoni, and the pizza had significantly more than what I received. I realize every place is different but, the amount that was on the pizza would be what I would expect for a pepperoni pizza without having ordered extra pepperoni. The dough in the middle was, what appeared to be undercooked. It was very soft compared to the outer edges of the pizza and crust, which in fairness, was perfectly cooked. This is personal taste as some people prefer their pizza this way but, when I held up a slice, most of the slice falls down, or it has a lot of "flop" so to say. For me to insinuate that the middle of the pizza was inedible was not fair of me. Slightly undercooked pizza dough *is* safe to eat, it just may not be your cup of tea. The positive: The sauce isn't bad at all. I'd give the sauce a 7/10. The use of parmigiano reggiano on the pizza is a plus, and along with crushed red pepper flakes, added a kick that made offset my disappointment in the aforementioned shortcomings. Also, the delivery was relatively quick and the driver (I do not know if they were affiliated with Calogero's or not) was pleasant and courteous. My initial, and unfair review gave an overall score of 2-stars. It's too difficult to give a review based off of delivery, so I am rating it 4-stars only in the food category/overall, and only subtracting for the two items that I felt were "missed" above. I have not been compensated, nor am I affiliated with Calogero's. To the owner: I owe you an apology for my initial review. It was completely unfair to offer so many subjective opinions, and I own up to my mistakes. I plan to stop in, in the next day or so, and apologize in person.

From the very first bite, it felt like we had been transported straight to Italy. The pizza at Calogero’s is nothing short of perfection—thin, crispy, yet perfectly chewy crust, topped with the freshest ingredients and just the right amount of char from the wood-fired oven. Each slice tastes like it was made with love, as if an Italian nonna herself was in the kitchen, crafting every pie with tradition and passion. The sauce is rich and full of depth, the mozzarella melts beautifully, and the balance of flavors is simply divine. Whether it’s the classic Margherita or a more adventurous topping combination, every pizza is an experience in itself. The warm, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel at home, and the service is just as exceptional as the food. If you’re looking for authentic Italian pizza that brings the heart of Italy to your plate, look no further—this place is a must-visit!
